19th Century Antique Oil Portrait of a Bearded Man in Profile
We've floated this 19th century French school oil portrait of a bearded man in profile on a natural linen and framed in an antique English wood frame. The portrait is signed in the upper righthand corner with the date, 1847 and initial 'C'. The artist's talent is on full display, rendering the man in exquisite realism with lifelike rosy cheeks; and we of course just love the raw edges of this portrait and its moody hues. This piece is glazed with reflection-minimizing and anti-UV acrylic.
Size: oil painting is 15x18 cm, with frame is 33x43cm
Please note there is some minor paint loss to the painting but is in overall good condition for its age. Please reference photos for more detail.
